Housing for retirement living & people with mobility issues

Access Homes is a new concept for accessible living for the elderly and people with mobility issues.

Our accessible and adaptable units and houses are located in traditional apartment buildings and housing developments in Sydney NSW, allowing people to remain close to their community and network of family, friends and services.

Working with large developers such as Meriton, Bovis Lend Lease, Australand and Multiplex, our accessible and adaptable units and houses are designed to the latest accessible housing standards (AS1428.1 and AS4299); allowing people to stay in the same place for the rest of their lives. 

The design features of these accessible dwellings includes:

- Level living areas throughout, no steps

- Wider than normal doorways and hallways for people who use wheelchairs or walking frames

- Larger bathrooms designed to maximise circulation area and safe for people who have mobility issues

- Kitchen designs that take into account common health issues - switches and power outlets within easy reach

- Wider car bay/garage to allow better ease of access
